WhatsApp allows you to pin multiple messages at a time. Users of WhatsApp may now pin numerous messages in a chat at once thanks to an upgrade that will leave you questioning why it took months to obtain this feature.
In December of last year, the messaging app introduced the ability to pin messages in group chats and direct messages. However, for an odd reason, this feature was limited to one message per session. Although there is now a maximum of three messages that can be pinned in a chat, this is still significantly less than other messaging applications like Telegram and Discord, so we’re left wondering why such an arbitrary restriction exists. Both Mark Zuckerburg, the CEO of Meta, and Will Cathcart, the CEO of WhatsApp, announced the latest version.
We can pin anything we want, including text, photos, and polls, even if there is a three-message restriction. You just need to hold down a message to bring up a menu with the option to pin it, much as in other chat programs. You may quickly access the original message by tapping on a pinned message.
Pins can be set for a duration of seven days, but they can also be set for twenty-four or thirty days. Another cap on freedom: there is no way to pin something indefinitely, and the message will automatically be removed after the predetermined amount of time.
Messages can be pinned by specific individuals only, with group admins having the authority to restrict who can do so. When a message is pinned, the entire group will receive an alert. Not only will users who removed the message prior to it being pinned be unable to view it, but neither will users who joined the group after it was pinned or those without access to the chat history.
